| No Applicable update data was found - PS3 |
Lots of guys tried all that and they was sure they had it saved correctly, they even saved it to SD card and tried with adapter then on DVD-R or DVD-RW, still no luck, then they swapped out a HDD from an old YOLD 40GB, still no luck, they played about with formatting and installing updates for hours. Then they also had a FAT CECH M03 YOLD (love to sony) this HDD had a lot of data on it, so they was reluctant to put it in PS3 SLIM as it would instantly format it and probably gives another error message "Can't find HDD.." etc etc. Moreover some of them are also tried with SAFE MODE. But it doesn't required that much of efforts if it can be solved by some easy steps. Learn how to get out of this error.
Solve No Applicable update data was found
- The USB drive must be formatted to FAT32 with default allocation unit.
- In the root directory of the drive you need to have a folder named "PS3"
(upper-case only) - In that "/PS3/" folder you need to have a sub-folder named "UPDATE"
(upper-case again) - In that "/PS3/UPDATE/" sub-folder you need a file named "PS3UPDAT.PUP"
(upper-case yet again and see this name carefully, its UPDAT not UPDATE) - So the local pathname for the update file on that drive must be:
"/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP"
Let's know if you get solved your error...
